What options do students have for continuing their education after high school?

With the rising cost of post-secondary education, it is no surprise that many students are looking for alternatives to furthering their education. Luckily, there are a variety of ways in which students can continue their education without breaking the bank.

The first option is to attend community college. Community colleges offer a great way for students to get additional education or to receive technical training at an affordable rate. These colleges usually offer specialized courses or associate's degrees in a wide variety of subjects. Many community colleges also transfer credits to four-year universities, making it possible for students to finish their degree quickly.

Another option is online learning. Online learning has become increasingly popular over the years due to its flexibility and convenience. Many online schools offer certificates, associate's degrees and even bachelor's degrees for far less than traditional brick-and-mortar universities. In addition, many employers are now accepting resumes from job applicants who have an online degree or certificate.

Third, students can attend career or vocational schools after high school graduation. These Schools provide specialized training that prepares individuals for specific careers like nursing, hairdressing, carpentry, and more! Most vocational schools also have job placement programs that make it easy for graduates to start their career as soon as possible after graduating from college.

Finally, students could take time off from school and dedicate this time towards self-studying or personal development activities such as volunteering or interning with a company related to their professional goals. Although there is no formal way of "earning credits" through self-study and personal development activities like this one – these experiences can be incredibly valuable when combined with traditional academic courses towards obtaining a degree in the future (or building skills now).
